Description

Gilson ASPEC 271 SPE system.

This system provides the ultimate in versatility by combining flexible positive pressure solid phase extraction (SPE), precise liquid handling, large bed capacity, and on-line integration with liquid chromatography (LC) systems. With its large cartridge capacity and small footprint, it enables unattended processing of a high number of samples per day for any SPE application, even those requiring multiple extractions, supported liquid extraction (SLE), liquid-liquid extraction (LLE), and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The dual syringe pump allows for automated internal standard addition or partial loop injection. Combined with ASPEC SPE cartridges, the system generates reproducible sample cleanup for clinical, forensic, doping, food and environmental testing, and research labs.

Positive pressure extraction with unique sealing cap design increases reproducibility from sample to sample. The syringe pump delivers accurate volume dispensing and full control of sorbent drying.

The system bed capacity for processing up to 144 samples unattended. The mobile racks accommodate 1, 3, and 6 mL SPE polypropylene and glass cartridges and enable multiple fraction elutions per sample. The dual syringe pump manages high accuracy and precision.

The syringe pump pressure-sensing module provides error handling for high cartridge pressure or clogged liquid lines and monitors pressure on each fluid path individually. Optional jet wash rinse stations minimize carryover and cross contamination.

Instrument features:

  • Up to 108 samples 1 mL cartridges, 60 on 3 mL, and 48 on 6 mL
  • Dispense volume from 10 mL to 25 mL
  • Optional dual syringe for transfer down to 10 uL
  • Computer control via Ethernet
  • Trilution LC / LH control software
